Part-Time Worship Pastor in Houston Area

First Baptist Church Deer Park is searching for a Worship Pastor to lead all aspects of the worship life of the church. Five or more years serving in a worship leading capacity is needed (service on staff as a worship pastor preferred). This person must be passionate about bringing God's people close to Him in worship, having the heart and demeanor of a pastor who happens to minister through music.

This person must be a confident leader who is comfortable working with other talented musicians/volunteers. Additionally, this person must be a strong "team player" and "team builder." The primary functions of the position include:

• serve as one of the primary worship leaders for Deer Park First Baptist Church
• facilitate training for singers, instrumentalists, and tech volunteers
• ensure that music selected for services glories God, is biblically accurate, is played at a high standard, and is in alignment with the beliefs of DPFBC and its leadership
• recruit volunteers
• pastor, coach, and mentor worship ministry volunteers
