We’re looking for a Student Accounts Representative to support day‑to‑day financial transactions at Houston Community College (HCC). The role involves cashiering, posting tuition payments, reconciling batches, and assisting students with account inquiries.
Responsibilities- Accept and record payments using the cashiering system and equipment.
- Process term payments and departmental receipts per the Cashiering Procedures Manual.
- Reconcile cashiering batch and prepare deposit slips for the Remote Deposit system.
- Manage service indicators, waivers, exemptions, and B‑codes on student accounts.
- Assist students in understanding tuition/fee charges, refunds, and 1098‑T information.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least one year of cashiering experience, preferably in a college or university business office.
- Ability to use a personal computer; knowledge of People Soft and Cash Net is preferred.
- Must be bondable and possess strong customer‑service skills.
