Key Responsibilities- Prepare, clean, sterilize, package, and maintain all dental instruments and equipment
- Monitor sterilization cycles, ensure proper parameters are met, document logs
- Inspect instruments for wear, damage, or malfunction; manage repair/replacement
- Maintain inventory of sterilization supplies (e.g., autoclave sterilant, pouches, indicators)
- Support clinical staff by ensuring all operatories are stocked and ready
- Adhere to infection control protocols and OSHA / regulatory standards
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of sterilization room and instrument storage
- Collaborate with the dental assistants, hygienists, and dentists to keep workflow efficient
Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience as a sterile tech, sterilization technician, or dental clinical role preferred
- Knowledge of sterilization practices, instrument processing, and infection control
- Good organizational skills and ability to work methodically
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to follow strict protocols and safety procedures
- Good communication skills and a positive, team‑oriented attitude
- Comfortable working in a clinical/pediatric dental environment
