Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Design Project Manager to support the coordination, documentation, and execution of design projects from concept through completion. This role plays a key part in managing design workflows, facilitating communication between internal teams and external consultants, and maintaining organized, accurate project documentation.
Responsibilities- Assist in coordinating design documentation, permitting activities, and project schedules
- Support due diligence efforts by compiling reports, plans, and supporting data for new developments
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and consultants to track deliverables and resolve design-related issues
- Review design drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure accuracy and consistency across disciplines
- Maintain organized project files, design revisions, and correspondence for effective document control
- Track and coordinate materials and design components sourced from international vendors
- Prepare project updates, meeting notes, and action items to ensure accountability and progress tracking
- Assist with budget tracking, invoice processing, and cost documentation
- Facilitate communication between design, construction, and procurement teams to align project objectives
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Design, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
- 2–3 years of experience in design coordination, project management support, or permitting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or Adobe Creative Suite a plus
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin preferred
