Job DescriptionAECOM is actively seeking a highly talented and experienced Senior Project Architect to join our Buildings + Places business line in Houston or Dallas, Texas. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead design efforts, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and deliver innovative solutions for a diverse range of projects, including commercial, industrial, and municipal sectors.
The ideal Project Architect IV candidate will bring a strong architectural background, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for creating impactful spaces. This position requires a proven ability to manage complex projects, mentor junior staff, and ensure design excellence throughout all project phases.

Responsibilities- Design Leadership
:
Spearhead the design process for projects across commercial, industrial, logistics, and interiors sectors, ensuring innovative and client-focused solutions. - Project Coordination
:
Oversee all phases of project delivery, from conceptual design to construction administration, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. - Collaboration
:
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, consultants, and other stakeholders, to integrate architectural and technical solutions. - Client Engagement
:
Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact for project-related communications. - Mentorship
:
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior architects and design staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and professional growth. - Technical Expertise
:
Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and sustainability standards, while maintaining a high level of technical accuracy in project documentation.

Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple priorities effectively. - Communication

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Architecture from an accredited program.
- Bachelor’s from a Professional accredited program.
B.Arch. is a 5-year, NAAB-accredited professional undergraduate degree. - 6+ years of professional experience in architectural design and project management or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Licensed Architect in the state of Texas.
- Proficiency in design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Sketch Up, as well as visualization tools like Enscape or Lumion.
