If you’re an experienced designer who thrives at the intersection of creativity, leadership, and craftsmanship, this is an opportunity to make your mark. We’re hiring on behalf of our client, a boutique residential design studio where artistry and collaboration go hand-in-hand.

As a Lead Interior Designer, you’ll be a key creative force—shaping concepts, guiding Junior Designers, and ensuring project excellence from vision through installation. This role is ideal for a designer who loves interiors, values craftsmanship, and is ready to inspire both clients and colleagues with a thoughtful design approach.

The Role
  • Lead design development, crafting and presenting concepts that align with client goals and studio standards
  • Source and curate materials, finishes, and furnishings with artistry and intention
  • Produce detailed drawings, construction sets, elevations, renderings, and other specifications (AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Revit, or similar)
  • Stay ahead of design trends, innovative products, and industry advancements
  • Mentor and provide guidance to Junior Designers, fostering growth within the team
  • Lead client meetings, site visits and installations with professionalism and creativity
  • Present design concepts with clarity, artistry, and confidence
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of professional interior design experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field preferred.
  • Strong sense of design, color, materials, and spatial balance; strong eye for detail and appreciation for craftsmanship
  • Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Adobe Creative Suite or similar); 3D modeling experience is a plus
  • Strong understanding of construction documents, detailing and FF&E specifications.
  • Knowledge in Photoshop, Sketch Up or comparable software; familiarity with AI design tools is a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks gracefully in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment
  • Collaborative spirit and curiosity to keep growing
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a spirit of collaboration
  • Bi‑lingual in Spanish is a plus
Why Join?
  • Work on a range of high‑end, thoughtful residential projects that bring vision and detail together
  • Collaborate in a studio culture that is connected, motivating, collaborative, respectful and trusting
  • Enjoy mentorship from senior design leaders while also stepping into a leadership role yourself
  • Be part of an environment that values artistry, community and continual growth
  • Gain exposure to the full design process, from concept through installation
  • Participate in select industry events, fueling creativity and professional development
