About the Job:
This role is primarily in‑office. The Design Associate must demonstrate basic knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Lumion, Enscape, Photoshop and InDesign. We’re seeking an Associate with primary focus in the conceptual and schematic phases of a project. The ideal candidate must be comfortable performing analyses of design, planning, occupancy studies and limited design layouts. They’d be responsible for generating hand‑drawn and computer‑generated sketches, site plans, and renderings.
Other responsibilities might include, but are not limited to, creation of meeting minutes and interpreting redlines and markups. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, detail‑oriented, technically skilled and a strong communicator. This is a full‑time position for someone with three or more years experience.
Qualifications:
A professional degree in an accredited program is required. Demonstrated basic knowledge of industry standard programs such as Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and the Microsoft suite of products is required. Demonstrate basic knowledge of building and zoning codes and an understanding of how to locate regulations as required.
- Experience on multifamily projects is required
- Minimum 3 years of design and technical experience
- Experience managing multiple consecutive projects in various stages
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and BIM (Revit)
Essential Duties and Functions:
- Understanding of building codes and systems
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
- Strong organizational skills, self‑motivated, ability to achieve goal
- Ability to produce client presentation material as well as pricing and bidding packages
- Other duties, as assigned or required
- Local candidates with demonstrated experience practicing in the State of Texas.
