Position: Hematologist (Open Rank)

The Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center (DLDCCC) and the Department of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) in Houston, Texas, invite applications for a full-time faculty position in Hematology. We are seeking a dedicated hematologist with a strong interest and expertise in managing malignant hematological disorders and engaging in translational and clinical research. The position is available at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level, depending on qualifications.

The successful candidate will provide care on the hematology inpatient and consult services and participate in teaching activities at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center (BSLMC). The role offers protected time and numerous opportunities to pursue translational and/or clinical research. Leadership roles are available for qualified candidates at the Associate or Professor level.

The DLDCCC is an NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center affiliated with BSLMC, Ben Taub Hospital, the Michael

E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, and Texas Children's Hospital. Our outpatient adult cancer center at BSLMC recently relocated to a state-of-the-art 470,000 square foot facility, which includes an 80-chair infusion center and a dedicated Phase I unit.

With over 450 members, the DLDCCC secures more than $130 million annually in cancer-related research funding, including over $44 million from the NCI. Competitive Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT) recruitment awards are available. The center comprises six well-funded research programs and ten Cancer-specific Disease Working Groups that foster collaboration between basic scientists and clinical researchers. These efforts are supported by a robust Clinical Trials Support Unit and ten shared resources, including the Human Genome Sequencing Center, the Center for Drug Discovery, and the Therapeutic Innovation Center.

Applicants must hold an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree, be board-certified in Internal Medicine, and be board-certified or board-eligible in Hematology or Oncology. Candidates must also be eligible for medical licensure in Texas.
