The Department of Dermatology at Baylor College of Medicine is recruiting a full-time Assistant Professor (Non‑Tenure Track) specializing in Dermatology and Dermatopathology. The successful candidate will join and help develop the Baylor Medicine Derm Path Team, with a primary clinical focus in General Dermatology. The candidate will be 80% Baylor and 20% VA. Responsibilities include providing outpatient services, including participating in affiliate hospital consults and after‑hours on‑call coverage.
The candidate will also participate actively in our teaching mission, teaching during outpatient clinics and dedicated teaching conferences.
- Join, develop and market the Baylor Medicine Derm Path Team.
- Evaluate new and existing patients in the Dermatology outpatient clinic.
- Support the Derm Path team in the Department of Pathology for readings.
- Meet productivity benchmarks established by Baylor College of Medicine.
- Participate in all routine clinical meetings held with the immediate work group.
- Maintain required certifications and licensing.
- Become familiar with Electronic Medical Record system, enter data into EMR, and develop a level of competency to document all patient encounters.
- Complete all documentation in a timely manner.
- Order diagnostic services and refer to specialists.
- Be an active member of a clinical group practice, including educational activities such as participation in Grand Rounds, monthly faculty meetings, and retreats.
- Meet or exceed all quality indicators.
- Maintain professionalism in relationships with students, faculty, ancillary and administrative staff.
- All professional billing and appropriate credentialing paperwork must be completed/renewed well ahead of their expiration.

Experience:
Dermatology Residency & one‑year ACGME‑accredited fellowship in Dermatopathology following primary residency. - Minimum Certification/Licenses/Registration:
License from Texas Medical Board, certification. Board‑certified by the American Board of Dermatology.
