Kelsey‑Seybold Clinic is Houston’s premier multispecialty group practice, founded in 1949 by Dr. Mavis Kelsey in Houston’s famous Texas Medical Center. More than 400 physicians and allied health professionals practice at 22 locations and an accredited Sleep Center in the Greater Houston area. Medical services offered by Kelsey‑Seybold include medical care in 55 medical specialties including primary care and specialty care, outpatient surgery centers, an accredited Sleep Center, a Radiation Therapy Center, laboratory services, advanced radiology services and other diagnostic services, 15 on‑site Kelsey pharmacies and a secure web portal for patients to communicate with their Kelsey‑Seybold doctors, get test results and schedule appointments.

Kelsey‑Seybold has been recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) as the nation’s first accredited Accountable Care Organization and a Level 3 (highest) Patient‑Centered Medical Home. Kelsey‑Seybold has many physicians in the Greater Houston area certified for excellence in diabetes, heart and stroke care by the NCQA. Our compensation package is productivity based and includes salary, paid time off, CME, and matching 401K. Affiliated with Baylor College of Medicine.

Position Details

Join multiple established primary care sports medicine physicians within the orthopedic department. This is a full‑time position combining sports medicine, musculoskeletal medicine, and non‑operative orthopedics in an exclusively outpatient professional practice setting. The practice involves patients of all ages, including athletes and the general population. Clinical responsibilities include procedures, joint aspirations, injections, and fracture care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide sports medicine and musculoskeletal care to patients of all ages.
  • Perform procedures, joint aspirations, injections, and fracture care.
  • Collaborate with a team of physicians and allied health professionals.
  • Maintain patient charts and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Adhere to clinic protocols and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
  • Board eligible/board certified in family practice, internal medicine, physical medicine and rehab, and/or emergency medicine with fellowship training in primary care sports medicine and certification in sports medicine.
Compensation and Benefits

Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $240,000 - $425,000. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role. In addition to salary, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution are offered (subject to eligibility).
