Position OverviewAs an Assistant Professor , you will:
- Independently evaluate new patients and manage their care.
- Initiate referrals and oversee follow-up care, ensuring comprehensive patient management.
- Engage in clinical research, contributing to groundbreaking advancements in onco-geriatrics.
- Deliver educational programs for oncology fellows, medical residents, and students.
- Participate in teaching conferences and provide insightful talks on onco-geriatrics.
To thrive in this role, you should possess:
- At least 2 years of experience as an Instructor or 5 years post-degree in clinical practice, clinical research, or GME training.
- An M.D. degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completed residency training in an approved American Residency Program.
- Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with a subspecialty in Geriatrics (or the ability to obtain certification within 3 years of employment).
- A valid medical license to practice in the State of Texas.
