The Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at Houston Methodist Hospital is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible candidate with fellowship training in Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology. Faculty members provide anesthetic care for a diverse and complex cardiovascular case mix while partnering with a multidisciplinary team. This role offers an opportunity to join an expanding Cardiovascular Anesthesiology team in a state-of-the-art academic medical center.

- Cardiovascular Anesthesiology team providing care for more than 6,000 adult cardiovascular procedures annually
- Procedures performed in operating rooms and catheterization laboratories
Responsibilities
- Provide anesthetic care for a diverse and complex cardiovascular case mix, including adult cardiac, vascular, thoracic, transplant, and structural heart procedures
- Partner with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care
- Play an important role in advancing patient safety, quality improvement, clinical innovation, and the ongoing growth and development of the cardiovascular anesthesia program
- Teach anesthesiology residents, Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology fellows, medical students, and other trainees through clinical instruction, conferences, and educational programs
- Participate in clinical, educational, and outcomes-based research projects
