Overview

The Met Christian Academy is a private Christian school located in Northwest Houston at The MET Church. At TMCA, we partner with families to provide exceptional education devoted to Christian discipleship. Our early childhood program, Lamb School, offers classes for ages 6 months through Pre-K fours. We also offer extended care classes.

We are seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic individual to join our Aftercare Program team. The ideal candidate has a heart for children and a desire to serve in a faith-based environment. This position involves supervising and engaging students after school hours in a safe, nurturing, and structured setting.

• Supervise children (infants – 3rd grade) during after-school hours
• Plan and lead age-appropriate activities (crafts, games)
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all students
• Communicate with parents and school staff as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized environment
• Uphold and model Christian values in all interactions

• Experience working with children (volunteer or paid) required
• A personal commitment to Christian faith and values
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Must pass a background test

Our school operates August - May, with aftercare offered daily from 2-5pm Monday-Thursday and from 2-3pm on Friday. You must be available in August before the school year starts for teacher training and on teacher in-service days throughout the school year. We follow the Cy-Fair ISD calendar for most holidays and teacher work days.
