Job Status: Exempt

Reports to: Dean of the College of Science and Engineering

Position Summary: The Department of Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics seeks adjunct faculty passionate about teaching in a Christian work environment. Faculty will teach daytime or evening courses.

Job Responsibilities
  • Utilize a course syllabus for each course, following established departmental and institutional guidelines.
  • Provide timely, quality access to students via electronic communication and other appropriate methods.
  • Evaluate students by established means to measure progress and inform them of their progress in a timely manner.
  • Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
  • Submit paperwork and forms in a timely fashion.
  • Department chair will evaluate adjunct faculty upon completion of course.
  • Adjunct faculty members are required to be available to students outside of the classroom.
Qualifications

Applicants should have a minimum of a master’s degree in geology or earth science, or at least 18 graduate semester hours in geology or a related field. A doctorate in geology and a demonstrated record of quality teaching is preferred.
