Responsibilities
  • You’ll help us enhance the ACE Program by teaching, supervising and mentoring students as young as early childhood through Middle School in a variety of active and creative After Class Enrichment Programs. As a genuine team‑player, you’ll interact, collaborate and work closely with vendors, parents, and Village colleagues.

  • Your role will impact the organisation by maintaining a safe and stimulating after‑care environment that will enrich classroom teachings by ensuring alignment with academic teachings, socio‑emotional program, and Viking athletic that align with the core values at The Village School and Nord Anglia Education.
  • Support and work directly with students in grades ranging from early childhood through Middle school.
  • Ensure safety of students during after school program aligning with campus Health and Safety standards.
  • Deliver a fun and interactive environment for students during their after school activities, Spring Break and other miscellaneous one‑day camps as hosted by the program.
  • Daily support of Lower and Middle school student lunches (miscellaneous division support requests as needed).
  • Ensure vendor class success with seamless class transition and carpool support.
  • Preferable some experience working with young children.
  • Knowledge of and fluency in the English Language.
  • Proficiency with O365.
  • Annual Performance review rating(s).
  • Planning & Preparation.
  • Support and collaborate with ACE team members on lesson plan development creating activities and crafts for after‑school class as lead or support based on planning calendar.
  • Help with preparing classrooms, managing roster changes, and maintaining inventory of program supply needs.
  • Knowledge of policies and procedures to follow while keeping the program structured.
  • Reliable and timely based on the schedule given.
  • Calm and patient demeanor with children when disciplining and monitoring the safety of the class.
  • Works well with others and is a team player.
  • Self‑motivated.
  • Caring and nurturing towards children of all ages.
  • Active and energetic to cultivate a fun environment for the after‑school program.
  • Effective communicator with children and adults.
Required Skills / Abilities
  • 10‑Month Position (August‑May).
  • High school diploma or degree.
  • One or more years of experience working with children.
  • Applicants must be able to perform physically without restrictions while monitoring ACE students.
  • Strong proficiency with Office 365 for producing rosters, email communication and curriculum plans.
  • Good cross‑cultural, interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse nationalities and cultures.
  • Excellent analytical skills – with the passion and drive to demonstrate and quantify success.
  • Excellent time management skills and flexibility in dealing with multi‑functional tasks.
  • You’d like to work in a purpose‑led sector.
