Reports to: Dean of the College of Science and Engineering
Position Summary: The Department of Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics seeks adjunct faculty passionate about teaching in a Christian work environment. Faculty will teach daytime or evening courses.
Job Responsibilities- Utilize a course syllabus for each course, following established departmental and institutional guidelines.
- Provide timely, quality access to students via electronic communication and other appropriate methods.
- Evaluate students by established means to measure progress and inform them of their progress in a timely manner.
- Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
- Submit paperwork and forms in a timely fashion.
- Department chair will evaluate adjunct faculty upon completion of course.
- Adjunct faculty members are required to be available to students outside of the classroom.
Applicants should have a minimum of a master’s degree in geology or earth science, or at least 18 graduate semester hours in geology or a related field. A doctorate in geology and a demonstrated record of quality teaching is preferred.
