Job Description:

Purpose and Scope: It is the responsibility of the teaching positions to provide the learning activities and support that will lead to the achievement of the course objectives and contribute to the educational environment of the college and the community. Primary responsibilities are to plan, develop and teach courses within the curriculum in a manner that facilitates student learning.

In partnership with our clients, this position will be the direct key to creating a successful outcome in the education of our clients' employee populations in learning quality and Lean skills as indicated in the essential job functions below. Part-time CC Trainers are hired in a part-time capacity on a semester-by-semester basis, contingent upon the needs of the College. Lone Star College accepts applications year-round from qualified applicants willing to teach on a part-time basis.

Part-time Trainer hiring is based on student demand. We offer day, evening, and weekend classes at various times and locations during the academic year. As a rule, adjunct faculty may teach a maximum of five classes per academic year.

Essential Job Functions:

• Teaches quality Lean and Six Sigma courses and related materials at a variety of times and locations
• Reviews Quality, Lean and Six Sigma course content and objectives and develops and follows a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines
• Conducts training sessions and provides feedback for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities
• Meets with and advises students either before or after class or by appointment, electronic communication, or other appropriate methods
