Position OverviewChampion Institute is seeking a Fellow Development Instructor to coach, teach, and mentor boys and young men ages 10–18. This role is ideal for dynamic, committed individuals, such as college students, graduate students, educators, or youth professionals, who are passionate about leadership, communication, and youth empowerment. You will deliver powerful group sessions and one-on-one coaching that shape how boys think, lead, and live.
You’ll help instill values, develop habits, and teach strategies that guide youth from uncertainty to personal excellence.
- Facilitate structured small-group sessions using Champion Institute’s coaching curriculum
- Guide students through topics like goal-setting, emotional regulation, responsibility, and life preparation
- Serve as a consistent, present, and respected role model
- Build relationships of trust and offer one‑on‑one coaching when needed
- Demonstrate and teach personal discipline, clarity, and a growth mindset
- Track youth progress and communicate with the program team
- Assist with special events and seasonal development challenges
- Possesses a disposition of excellence—prepared, professional, and purpose-driven
- Is excellent with youth of all ages and from diverse backgrounds
- Is consistently present, attentive, and intentional in every interaction
- Serves as a positive role model, embodying character and leadership
- Has strong communication and group facilitation skills
- Brings a growth mindset and belief in each student’s potential
- Can simplify complex topics and teach them in age‑appropriate ways
- Has experience in youth development, education, coaching, social work, or a related field
- Must pass a background check
- Undergraduate or graduate students in education, psychology, youth ministry, or social sciences
- Former youth program participants, coaches, or peer mentors
- Tutors or instructors with a love for motivation, mentorship, and human development
Be yourself—speak confidently and honestly. You don’t need fancy equipment; a phone or laptop video is fine. We’re not looking for perfection; we're looking for authenticity.
