The Opportunity
Instructor, Pastry Arts
This role involves teaching pastry arts to support the college’s curriculum. The instructor will teach up to fifteen (15) contact hours each semester and participate in department, division, and college activities. Responsibilities include teaching, academic advising, professional development, and community service.
Responsibilities- Teach courses and laboratories, develop syllabi, and deliver instruction using varied methodologies.
- Assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and provide timely feedback.
- Advise students and maintain office hours, assisting with career opportunities.
- Participate in laboratory maintenance and integrate technology into the classroom.
- Contribute to curriculum review, accreditation processes, and community outreach.
- Minimum Associate’s Degree;
Bachelor’s preferred. - At least 3 years of related work experience.
- Strong teaching skills, technology proficiency, and ability to engage diverse learners.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to professional growth and institutional service.
