Department of Chemistry at Rice University in Houston, TX seeks applicants for a tenure-track appointment at the assistant professor level with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026. We seek faculty members who will develop a world-leading dynamic and innovative research program in fundamental science and who will excel in teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels, while embracing Rice University’s diverse community and culture of excellence.
We welcome applicants with expertise in any area of Chemistry for Energy and Sustainability
, including, but not limited to, chemistry research on solar energy conversion, solar fuels, environmental remediation, photocatalysis, polymer upcycling, and green chemistry in general. Candidates must complete their application through Interfolio, the hiring system for Rice University. A PhD in the chemical sciences or closely related fields is required by July 1, 2026.
