Job Description – Purpose and Scope
Faculty provide learning activities and support that enable students to achieve course objectives. Adjunct faculty are hired part‑time, semester‑by‑semester, based on student demand. They may teach a maximum of five classes per academic year.

Essential Job Functions

  • Teach Business Administration courses at various times and locations.
  • Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of material.
  • Submit required college reports and forms in a timely manner.
  • Utilize a course syllabus for each course, following institutional guidelines.
  • Meet with and advise students before or after class or by appointment, electronically, or otherwise.
  • Evaluate students to measure progress toward course objectives and inform students in a timely manner.
  • Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
  • Attend required meetings, trainings, and orientations.
  • Perform other reasonable related duties as assigned.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with an emphasis on collaboration, teamwork, and facilitation.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to appreciate alternative viewpoints and work effectively with diverse people.

Physical Abilities
The work is sedentary with occasional walking, standing, bending, carrying light items, or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required.

Work Schedule and Conditions

  • Use of PC workstation on a LAN inside a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone, and other standard office equipment.
  • Interface with internal and external contacts as needed.
  • Work is performed in a climate‑controlled classroom and/or lab environment.
  • Hours vary by class time; instructors must be available to students outside instruction.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in management/business/administration, JD, or Master’s with 18 graduate hours in management/business.

Salary
$55.44 per contact hour.
