Purpose:
Responsible for all aspects of student assessment, data management, and student support including the planning, training, and monitoring of state and local assessments, data analysis and reporting, and facilitation of Section 504 and Response to Intervention (RtI) processes. Qualifications/
Skills:
Education/Certification:
* Master's Degree, preferred.
* Valid Texas Teacher Certificate or Teaching Certificate from out of state appropriate for position.
* Certification must meet requirements for becoming and remaining qualified for this position in a manner required by Federal and/or State law.
Special Knowledge/
Skills:
* Familiarity with the statewide assessment programs and procedures including paper and online formats.
* Familiarity with accommodations for daily classroom instruction and assessment including accessibility features, locally approved designated supports and designated supports requiring TEA approval.
* Strong knowledge of assessment data disaggregation.
* Exceptional planning and multi-tasking abilities.
* Ability to communicate, both orally and written, technical and complex assessment data and concepts to a varied audience that includes school administrators, teachers, parents, and students.
* Familiarity with student support processes including ARDs, RtI, and Section 504.
* Excellent organizational, record-keeping, and documentation skills.
* Ability to work with and lead adult learners.
* Knowledge and experience in computer software, including spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation tools in Microsoft and/or Google, as well as student information systems, including School City and NWEA.
* Demonstrated skill in navigating a variety of digital platforms for instruction and assessment, flexibility in adapting to frequent updates and new programs, and the ability to train others in their use.
Experience:
* Minimum of 3 years successful teaching experience.
* Evidence of demonstrated ability to conduct trainings and lead teams, preferred.
Major Duties and Program Management:
* Serve as the campus liaison to the Department of Assessment and Compliance (for state assessment programs and local assessment activities), Section 504, the Department of Special Education, Student Intervention Services (Response to Intervention). and provide support for Credit by Exam activities.
* Utilize data to identify, implement and monitor the effectiveness of a variety of intervention models and materials to meet identified student needs. (specifically special programs, Bil/ESL, Special Ed, PEIMS data)
* Monitor data accuracy for students served by special programs including Bil/ESL, Special Education, Section 504, etc.
* Collaborate with the Director of Interventions on a regular basis to receive training and implement best practice to ensure student progress.
* Develop and implement the requirements of district's Response to Intervention (RtI) program that reflect the specific academic intervention needs for each individual student identified for Tier 2 or Tier 3 support as assigned.
* Work cooperatively with the campus leadership, developing plans and logistics for all aspects of campus assessment programs.
* Responsible for receipt, proper use, and return of all assessment materials, secure and otherwise.
* Assist in the development of standards, policies, and procedures related to maintaining district data.
* Oversee the secure administration of assessments, (paper and online) and respond promptly to needs and issues if/when they arise.
