Associate Director- Office of Learning

University of Houston-System is hiring an Associate Director for the Office of Learning Abroad. The role involves leading departmental operations, managing budgets, directing strategic planning, overseeing faculty‑led programs, and ensuring risk management and safety for all Learning Abroad initiatives. The Associate Director also collaborates across university departments to advance international education goals and manages staff, scholarships, and partnership agreements.

• Lead and supervise the Office of Learning Abroad operations, budgets, staff, and student workers.
• Develop and implement strategic plans, policies, and procedures for international academic and non-academic programs.
• Oversee faculty‑led program development, including proposals, workshops, student recruitment, and marketing support.
• Manage scholarship administration and coordinate with university departments on international recruitment efforts.
• Utilize Terra Dotta software for traveler registration, approvals, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure risk management and health, safety, and welfare processes for all abroad programs.
• Provide regular assessment and reporting of learning abroad programs and university reporting requirements.
• Required qualifications:
  
  Bachelor's degree or equivalent training with at least five years of related experience; higher education experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is mandatory; proficiency in a second language and international education experience are preferred.
• Salary range between $65,300 and $74,300 annually.
