Job Description Summary / TWC Summary
Responsibilities include teaching courses in the psychology curriculum (which may include online, evening and or weekend classes); providing clinical supervision to graduate students (if licensed); advising students; maintaining active service and research agendas; seeking/securing external funding to support research endeavors; serving in advisory positions for student organizations; and participating in committee work in the governance of the college and the psychology program.

Hiring Range $58,622.40 - $76,209.00
Education
Earned doctorate in Psychology.
Required Licensing/Certification
Licensure in Texas as a Psychologist or School Psychologist, or eligibility for immediate licensure in Texas, is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of:
- Psychology theory, research, and practice
- APA and/or NASP Code of Ethics
- Texas laws related to the practice of psychology
- Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications
- Problem-solving and decision-making.
- Multitasking and time management.
- Verbal and written communication.
- Effective customer service.
- Make significant contributions to departmental growth in the areas of curricular development, teaching, scholarly activity, and research funding.
- Demonstrate commitment to undergraduate and graduate education in an academic environment.
- Work with a diverse student and faculty population.
Work Experience
Teaching experience at the college or university level preferred.
Working/Environmental Conditions
- Prolonged standing and/or walking.
