Integrated Studies Academic Advisor II​/III

University of Houston is hiring a Integrated Studies Academic Advisor II/III to guide undergraduates through academic planning, degree completion, and retention. Advisors analyze degree audits, build intervention plans for at-risk students, and help run New Student Orientation within Undergraduate Student Success.

• Advise students on academic planning, degree completion, and progress concerns such as probation and retention.
• Analyze degree audits and recommend solutions for students.
• Identify at-risk students and develop intervention plans.
• Process Veteran's Administration paperwork, graduation verification letters, and financial aid appeals.
• Plan and implement New Student Orientation as part of day-to-day advising in Undergraduate Student Success.
• Provide advanced advising at the Advisor III level for double majors, transfer credits, and students in academic distress.
• Train and mentor junior advisors, and design student success and retention programs, at the Advisor III level.
• Hold a four-year degree plus 1 year of related experience for Advisor II or 3 years for Advisor III, with experience accepted in lieu of education.
• Use Microsoft Office Suite, Campus Solutions, and EAB Navigate.
• Pay ranges from $43,000-$48,900 for Advisor II to $49,400-$56,200 for Advisor III.
