MS Instructional Specialist

We are seeking a dynamic Middle School Instructional Specialist passionate about supporting educators, strengthening instructional practices, and ensuring exceptional learning experiences for all students.

In this role, you will partner with teachers through coaching, collaboration, modeling, and professional learning to promote growth, innovation, and student success. The ideal candidate is committed to instructional excellence, values research-based practices, uses data to drive improvement, and fosters a culture of continuous learning.

• Partner with faculty and learning support to analyze student needs and identify opportunities to enhance learning and achievement.
• Provide instructional coaching and professional support to teachers through collaboration, modeling, feedback, and reflection.
• Promote and implement effective instructional strategies grounded in current educational research and best practices.
• Utilize data-informed decision-making to support continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
• Collaborate with academic and divisional leadership, and learning support personnel to ensure horizontal and vertical alignment of curriculum, instructional practices, assessments, and student support systems.
• Promote continuity and coherence in the educational experience across grade levels and disciplines.
• Support the mission, values, and academic vision of Duchesne Academy through leadership and collaboration.
• Provide academic support and skill development for students as needed.
• Foster the development of student confidence, self-advocacy, organizational skills, and habits that contribute to academic success.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and support personnel to foster the intellectual, social, and emotional growth of students.
• Serve as a resource for faculty and families in promoting student success and well‑being.

• Master’s degree in educational administration or curriculum and instruction
• Genuine affinity for working with children and families in an educational setting.
• Ability to make independent decisions along with maintaining the confidentiality of privileged and sensitive information.
• High-level of competence using technology.
• Experience in a PreK –12 environment, preferably in independent schools, is a plus.
• Strong references.

• Completion of Safe Environment Training
• Current CPR Training
• Successful completion of criminal offender record information and sexual offender registry information checks

• Communicate clearly and accurately.
• Treat parents as partners in their child’s education.
• Possess strong people skills to be empathetic to children’s and parent’s needs.
