Chair and Professor of Sport Management or Sport Analytics

The Department of Sport Management at Rice University in Houston, Texas, invites applications for a Full Professor to begin July 1, 2027. The candidate will be expected to serve as Department Chair. Candidates must have a demonstrated record of leadership and service at the department/school/university/discipline level, outstanding teaching and research excellence.

In addition to successfully leading the department, job duties include conducting exceptional research and teaching undergraduate and possibly graduate courses.

Since 1988, Rice has been ranked among the top 20 national universities ( US News & World Report ). Academic Programs include Bachelor of Arts in Sport Management, Bachelor of Arts in Sport Analytics, and Master of Data Science with a Sport Analytics specialization.
