Geotechnical Principal Engineer

Overview

Geotechnical leadership role providing technical expertise and supporting Geotechnical staff across branches and regions. Includes meetings with clients and ECS staff to deliver technical solutions and mentoring responsibilities.

• Provide technical expertise and support Geotechnical staff within a branch and region
• Host or attend project meetings with clients and/or ECS staff to help provide technical solutions
• Mentor Associate Principals where applicable
• Participate in review committees for candidates seeking Associate Principal designation (Geotechnical)
• Office and regional duties including: overseeing projects, performing technical report reviews, preparing and reviewing proposals
• Assist with management of the department and P&L
• Engage in business development and marketing by maintaining and developing client interactions
• Assist hiring managers with staffing decisions
• Lead and coach junior staff
• Due to cross-department duties, may perform tasks above in CMT

• Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or similar
• 12 years of related experience
• Designation as a senior reviewer at current or previous firm
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Professional Geologist (P.G.) license required in each state where you work
• If driving for or on behalf of any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver’s license is required
