The Project Engineer will support the Director of Engineering in coordinating and assisting with the design and technical development of renewable energy projects, primarily utility‑scale solar PV and energy storage systems. This role will work closely with utility companies, engineering firms, EPC contractors, and internal teams to ensure efficient project execution and compliance with technical and contractual requirements.

• Manage and track engineering deliverables and submittals from contractors using project management software (e.g., Procore, Smartsheet).
• Support review of EPC contractor deliverables, including drawings, submittals, and material selections, to ensure compliance with project specifications and company standards.
• Coordinate communication between internal engineering, development, and construction teams as well as external stakeholders.
• Coordinate design review meetings, document discussions, track action items, and facilitate follow‑up.
• Review and organize technical documentation for permit applications, interconnection submittals, and project approvals.
• Track project progress and report to ensure timely delivery of key milestones.
• Coordinate with Owner’s Engineer and EPC Engineer of Record on all engineering deliverables (electrical, civil, structural, racking, SCADA).
• Conduct detailed design reviews to verify compliance with EPC scope, permitting requirements, and utility interconnection standards.
• Evaluate and communicate engineering RFPs, diagrams, and specifications between internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate grid interconnection studies, communication protocols, and data management processes with utilities.
• Participate in field visits to gather site information and assist with engineering‑related inspections or data collection.
• Support civil design coordination activities (site grading, drainage, access road layouts).
• Analyze data from geotechnical, hydrology, and interconnection studies.
• Leverage OpenAI technologies to enhance efficiency in project design reviews and workflow management.

• Education – Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil or Electrical preferred).
• Experience – 1+ years in engineering or related roles within the renewable energy or power generation industry.
• Skills – Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills; effective written and verbal communication; basic understanding of engineering design principles; proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or power system analysis tools; ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines; basic understanding of grid interconnection processes; PMP or PE certification a plus.
