GCP Technologies LLC is an engineering and design firm with a history of continuous growth serving the Telecommunication Industry. We are seeking a qualified candidate to join our team as a Project Manager.

The Project Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, and delivery of complex telecommunication projects, including the management, mentorship, and supervision of a team of technical professionals, to ensure successful outcomes within defined timelines and budgets.

Location:

Houston, Texas.

Hours:

Monday‑Friday, 8 AM‑5 PM, with some flexibility.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Project Management and Oversight for telecommunication (civil/relocation) projects
  • Oversee the selection, training, development, work assignments, and day‑to‑day supervision of assigned personnel
  • Attend Utility / TxDOT / Municipality coordination meetings to represent client
  • Prepare Utility Agreement Assembly packages
  • Review plans to ensure compliance with applicable guidelines, rules, and regulations
  • Monitor/track project status and manage project budgets
  • Actively engage and follow‑up with utility coordinators
  • Apply technical expertise and assist project team in resolving roadblocks, staying within budget, and on schedule
  • Perform independent research and delegate changing priorities
  • Work with minimal supervision and deliver accurate work products
  • Work with project team(s) to ensure tasks and designs are coordinated to produce accurate and effective plan sets
  • Coordinate with task leads and administrative staff to resolve issues, escalating to supervisors when necessary
  • Assist in reviewing project plan set data to identify conflicts and develop concept plan
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining project electronic files
  • Assist in reviewing field data, design & permit drawings (QA/QC)
  • Assist in updating internal and client project trackers
  • Assist in monitoring and implementing design changes from clients
  • Assist in responding to requests from clients
  • Learn and maintain knowledge of client standards, rules, and requirements for planning, construction, and documentation
  • Perform independent research and adapt to changing priorities
  • Maintain a professional attitude and fulfill responsibilities with integrity
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of Utility Coordination and/or Project Manager experience, with a minimum of 2 years involving direct line management or supervisory responsibilities
  • 2+ years of experience with AutoCAD
  • Telecommunication based Permit and Drafting experience required
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associates of Applied Science in Computer Aided Drafting and Design and/or AutoCAD Certificate of Completion preferred
  • Experience with TxDOT ROW and Utility policies/procedures
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PDF
  • Ability to read and interpret applicable plans, schematics, blueprints, and maps.
  • Familiarity with the TxDOT ROW Utility Manual and Texas Administrative Code Utility Accommodation Rules, knowledge of principles of utility coordination and associated terminology
  • Strong Communication and organizational skills and attention to detail
