Job Summary

The Sr. Project Controls Analyst will report directly to the Director of Project Controls and works with the Project Management, Estimating, Cost Control, Scheduling, Field Coordinators, and Document Control staff for the Above ground Storage Tank (AST) and Specialty Vessel (SV) business line.

Essential Functions
  • Actively supports the Company's commitment to safety and its Core Values.

  • Responsible for the development, implementation, and execution of all estimating, cost control, cost reporting, scheduling, and document control processes, procedures, and systems.
  • Ensures that a system is developed and put in operation that provides project and operational construction management the required tools to analyze, manage, and report multiple AST projects including turn‑around scope and will interface and satisfy the clients reporting needs engineering, fabrication and construction.
  • Develops the cost and work breakdown structure that ties the estimating process into the accounting / cost tracking / cost reporting and scheduling / resource planning systems, trend/forecast cost and schedule changes.
  • Develops system tools to forecast cost and track changes from conceptual estimates through the completion of the projects.
  • Interfaces with the client's Project Controls Group to provide required cost and schedule reports.
  • Works with Field Engineers to provide quantity take‑offs for estimating and tracking purposes as well as documenting scope changes and providing procurement with material requisitions.
  • Utilizes internal company systems and client systems for cost data.
  • Interfaces with functional business service group in the use and development of procedures, reporting standards and underlying systems and tools.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
  • 8+ years of relevant Project Controls experience, with a focus on above ground storage tanks and specialty vessels is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of above ground storage tanks, clients and API 653 training.
  • Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction practices, sequencing and scheduling.
  • Experience managing multiple groups and working with weekly and monthly deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; good computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Access, Estimating systems, ERP systems, and Primavera scheduling software.
  • Varying work schedule, ability to travel, and occasional overtime may be required.
