Our Private Sector Business Unit is looking for a Client Service Manager (CSM) & Managing Engineer with site investigation/remediation (SI&R) experience and private sector client relationships in the Houston, Texas market.

The position offers flexibility to work either from the Houston office or remotely. Occasional travel to project sites may be required, up to 20% of the time.

Description:
Primary responsibilities will include providing leadership to our SI&R project teams through mentoring, technical/regulatory/project delivery support and maintaining and developing new and existing client relationships. We are seeking a candidate with a proven track record of leading teams, executing and managing environmental services in the private sector and developing and maintaining client relationships. In this role you will work closely with client contacts and project teams around the company.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Build and develop relationships and opportunities with new and existing clients
- Provide leadership and mentoring in the Houston office to our mid and senior level staff to support technical understanding and career development in SI&R work
- Work closely with technical staff and CSMs to provide technical expertise on the characterization and investigation of impacted environmental media (e.g., soil and groundwater), evaluating and developing remedy alternatives, regulatory compliance as it specifically relates to the Texas Risk Reduction Program, Texas Voluntary Clean-Up Program, and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act projects
- Stay abreast of local, state, and federal regulations and educate staff and clients on new opportunities and solutions
- Support clients in negotiations with regulatory agencies
- Ensure teams are providing quality services, and clarity of work products and projects while promoting and integrating company wide initiatives and values
- Participate in improving company resources and tools to improve efficiency
- Prepare and make presentations to clients and for use in professional meetings
- Direct the work of others and coordinate with other disciplines
- Position may include responsibilities such as supervising, delegating, mentoring, and overseeing the work of technical staff and engineers
- Coach and mentor less experienced technical staff
- Prioritize health and safety practices throughout all aspects of your work and the work of project teams
Desired
Skills and Experience:
- B.S. in engineering, environmental science, geology, or related discipline required; M.S. degree preferred
- Minimum of 15 years of professional related experience required
- Knowledgeable with local, state, and federal environmental rules and regulations including the Texas Risk Reduction Program, Texas Voluntary Clean-Up Program, and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act
- Experience supporting environmental and permitting projects conducted at petrochemical and refinery facilities
- Experience in the consulting field preferred
- Licensed in Texas as a Professional Geologist or Professional Engineer required
- Strong verbal and written (technical writing) communication skills required
- Highly responsive, capable of working in a diverse team environment and handling multiple tasks with competing priorities
- Positive, can-do attitude, flexible and self-motivated, and have an attention to detail
- Must have a proven record of working with clients and delivering projects successfully, profitably, and to the client’s satisfaction
- Periodic travel and field work is anticipated
- Maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card or have the ability to obtain one within two months of employment
- Maintain a valid driver’s license, and good driving record required
Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee’s primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.
$160,000 - $219,000
