Genesis Marine is a safe, reliable, and efficient marine transportation company dedicated to serving refineries and storage terminals across the Gulf Coast, East Coast, Canada, Great Lakes, Intracoastal Canal and western river systems of the United States. We operate two fleets—around 130 vessels in total, including 82 barges, 33 push‑boats, nine offshore boats and nine barges, and one ocean‑going tanker. Our state‑of‑the‑art equipment and experienced mariners ensure the safest and most efficient transport of inland hot‑oil cargoes.

We maintain strict operating procedures designed to exceed customer and regulatory requirements.

• Safely operate and perform routine maintenance of the vessel’s propulsion, auxiliary and other mechanical systems in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, company policies, and manufacturer recommendations, ensuring crew safety.
• Under direct supervision of a licensed officer, load and store bunkers, lubricating oils, and transfer bunkers and oils to other vessels; manage bilge and bilge slops according to company procedures and environmental standards.
• Care for and utilize the vessel's consumable spares, mechanical stores, and tool inventories.
• Stand engine‑room watches in rotation with other crew members.
• Complete engine‑room operational and maintenance tasks as directed by the Chief Engineer.

• Possess a U.S. Merchant Mariner’s document and STCW training and certification booklet, as required by law.
• Hold proper U.S.C.G. certification for the vessel type, horsepower, and service assigned.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English;
  Spanish language proficiency is preferred but not required.
• Ability to understand and react to commands given in English.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
