Superintendent - Water​/Wastewater

Overview

Our client is a construction company with capabilities in mechanical, civil and electrical disciplines. Their strength lies in its ability to integrate these disciplines in any project and self-perform seamlessly without the need for multiple contractors.

Set up by a team of engineers and business professionals, they currently execute design-build and design-bid-build projects in the water and waste-water infrastructure sector. They’re in immediate need of an experienced Water/Wastewater Superintendent capable of supervising civil and mechanical aspects of the water and wastewater construction industry.

• Review project drawings and create plans for the execution of the job.
• Organize for the required equipment to complete the job by coordinating with procurement department.
• Coordinate with inspection agencies to ensure the codes and specifications are being met.
• Manage the crew and assign work for various roles.
• Execute work per the project plan and ensure billing targets are met.
• Ensure that vendors are paid in a timely manner by coordinating with accounting team.
• Attend weekly team meetings with clients and update them of the progress.
• Conduct weekly job safety meetings with the crew and ensure safe work practices at all times.

• Demonstrated leadership skills in leading a multi craft crew.
• Proven experience working as a Concrete & Mechanical Foreman in the water and wastewater industry.
• Knowledge of AWWA standards.
• Valid Driver’s License is mandatory, Commercial Driver’s License is a plus.
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.
• Must have concrete experience in vertical, flatwork, and industrial structures such as lift stations, wastewater treatment plant structures, ground storage tank foundations etc.
• Must have experience erecting mechanical piping, valves, generators, and other heavy equipment.
• Must know how to operate Excavator, Dozer, Grader and All terrain forklift/cherry picker.
• Must have ability to recruit crew for various jobs locally and get the job done. Must have leadership skills, common sense, highly motivated, and be able to follow specific instructions.

Compensation is a base salary of $100,000+, plus bonus.
