Primary Purpose
Provide fire protection engineering technical support to facility operations and project management teams throughout the organization. The engineer will work on a variety of projects involving the fire protection of ignitable liquid and gas assets, such as bulk storage tanks and vessels, truck and rail transfer racks, processing facilities, and LNG.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Support expansion and sustaining projects by analyzing project details, conducting basic analysis of existing fire protection, establishing appropriate fire protection scopes of work based on project hazards and needs, reviewing and amending third‑party design plans, and serving as the overall fire protection SME
- Assist with evaluating fire protection capabilities at existing facilities and proposing methods for fire risk reduction
- Assist facility operations with technical inquiries, such as code compliance, fire protection system troubleshooting, and interactions with local authorities
- Participate in the development and revision of fire protection policies and procedures
