Join the Standard Aero Houston team as a licensed A&P Mechanic supporting maintenance and inspection of corporate aircraft. In this role, you’ll perform detailed airframe maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on a variety of corporate jet platforms including Learjet, Embraer, Challenger, Hawker, Gulfstream, and Falcon aircraft. You’ll work in a collaborative, high‑performance MRO environment where safety, precision, and teamwork drive success.
What You’ll Do- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on business jet airframes and systems.
- Remove and reinstall turbofan and turboprop engines for inspection and maintenance.
- Conduct operational checks, engine runs, and leak checks to verify serviceability.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, landing gear, flight control, and other airframe systems.
- Evaluate removed components for serviceability; document and resolve discrepancies.
- Read and interpret maintenance manuals, blueprints, and technical data.
- Perform fuel‑tank sealing and other specialized structural tasks as required.
- Accomplish Service Bulletins, Repair Letters, and Airworthiness Directives in accordance with FAA and OEM standards.
- Document all work performed clearly, accurately, and in compliance with Standard Aero procedures.
- Adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality standards in a professional MRO setting.
- Minimum 7 years of experience performing heavy maintenance on turbofan‑engine corporate aircraft.
- Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant License.
- Ability to read and interpret OEM maintenance manuals and schematic diagrams.
- Able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience in an MRO or Service Center environment.
- Factory‑authorized training on corporate aircraft and/or Honeywell engines.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and technical skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Proven ability to work independently while supporting team goals.
