SummaryResponsible for producing mechanical drawings and models of Flowtrend sanitary products, ranging from simple to complex designs. Supports product development through reverse engineering, inspection, and technical troubleshooting. Maintains drawing standards and provides documentation.
Key Responsibilities- Create mechanical drawings and 3D models for Flowtrend products, manuals, and product data sheets.
- Modify existing supplier and OEM drawings to meet Flowtrend specifications.
- Perform reverse engineering of OEM parts and competitor products using precision measurement tools.
- Conduct inspections of parts and assemblies to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality.
- Utilize hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other engineering equipment for measurement and verification.
- Maintain and organize the drawing library, ensuring all drawings are on Flowtrend Title Blocks.
- Ensure compliance with standard mechanical drafting practices and Flowtrend documentation protocols.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and customer service teams to resolve fitment and quality issues.
- Assist in troubleshooting product failures and customer complaints, including RMAs.
- Perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve design, fitment, or manufacturing issues.
- Provide technical support to customer service and production teams.
- Confirm supplier drawings for production readiness and accuracy.
Skills & Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in mechanical design/drafting.
- Proficiency in Solid Works and/or AutoCAD.
- Experience with basic machining processes and measurement tools.
- Familiarity with reverse engineering techniques and inspection procedures.
- Associate’s degree in drafting or 5+ years of relevant design experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
- General knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to take direction and adapt to new software quickly.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with drafting standards and material properties.
