Job SummaryIn this role, you will perform field investigations and client interviews to define work scope and develop cost estimates for ICT-Telecommunications systems. You will design, develop, modify, and evaluate telecommunications components and processes, ensuring that complex project requirements are met. This role requires strong technical judgment, collaboration, and client-facing communication.
What You’ll Do- Plan and conduct independent telecommunications engineering work on medium-sized projects
- Design, develop, modify, and evaluate ICT-Telecommunications systems and components
- Apply Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards, guides, and Standard Application Programs (BSAPs)
- Develop conceptual telecommunications designs for projects with specialized or unique requirements
- Support preparation of cost estimates, staffing needs, and schedules
- Interpret and apply regulations, codes, standards, and performance criteria
- Coordinate telecommunications design activities with client representatives
- Conduct or lead special studies on new telecommunications methods, materials, and techniques
- Participate in and support technical training and development programs
- Strong knowledge of ICT-Telecommunications systems and design methodologies
- Experience developing network topology, DAS, data center telecom designs, and horizontal distribution
- Understanding of the OSI Model, rack layouts, and structured cabling systems
- Ability to evaluate technical and cost considerations when selecting design features
- Strong communication skills for technical and client-facing interactions
- RCDD certification preferred
- Experience with CAD, Revit, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office tools
- Prior experience supporting EPC or large-scale industrial projects
- Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) in a related discipline
- 8-10 years of relevant experience
- 12-14 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree
