Part Time Design Checker-Electrical

Houston, TX

Perform senior level detail checking of electrical instrumentation design including complex designs and layouts of One Line Diagrams, E/I Plans, Sections & Details, Wiring Diagrams and Schematic Diagrams utilizing CAD hardware and software.

• Review vendor drawings and information.
• Perform detail check of discipline drawings for accuracy and compliance with applicable codes and industry standards.
• Read and comprehend PID’s.

• Ability to work with Autocad and Navisworks.
• 30 or more years of experience in a drafting environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of applicable codes and industry standards.

• High school diploma. Associates Degree or certification from technical trade school preferred.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

• Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
• Frequent sitting and operating a computer.
• Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or office materials.
• Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
• Physical demands requirements are at levels of those for sedentary work.
