You’ll lead environmental planning and permitting for transformative projects in carbon capture, renewable energy, and net‑zero initiatives—turning bold ideas into reality. From crafting permitting roadmaps and managing studies and fieldwork to ensuring compliance with federal and state programs. Your work will make a measurable impact. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders on siting, mitigation, and reporting, while senior specialists drive strategy, negotiate commitments, and oversee budgets, and mid‑level specialists prepare applications, coordinate surveys, and maintain compliance trackers.

Responsibilities/Expectations
  • Develops, maintains, improves and provides guidance on environmental processes/policies
  • Assess environmental risk, provide recommendations to address risk and participate in or run the approved course of action, including required regulatory documentation
  • Coordinate regular environmental planning, scheduling and cost estimating, including preparation of environmental impact assessments
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to others and be involved in industry associations and environmental communities
  • Lead projects or programs with significant risk and complexity to achieve objectives; develop the strategy for project execution and handle resource requirements
  • Other duties as assigned
Education / Years of Experience Environmental Specialist IV
  • Required:

    Bachelor’s degree and minimum eight (8) years’ environmental experience
Environmental Specialist V
  • Required:

    Bachelor’s degree and minimum fifteen (15) years of multifaceted environmental experience
  • Preferred:
    Minimum ten (10) years of experience in environmental soil and groundwater assessment and remediation at CERCLA (Superfund) and RCRA sites
Other Requirements
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
