Junior Stress Analyst

We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Stress Analyst to join the team with Nexus, a teammate company.

The Junior Stress Analyst will:

* Junior Structural Analyst to support structural analysis tasks across multiple NASA Divisions

* Use stress analysis experience to perform classical hand stress analysis, finite element stress analysis and fracture analysis.

* Be familiar with NASA standards for analysis, including Fracture Control

* Know and have experience with using NASGRO

* Be proficient in the use of finite element modeling techniques using FEMAP or PATRAN for finite element model development and NASTRAN for finite element solutions.

* Prepare structural analysis reports and work with other engineers to find resolutions to problems.

* Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

* Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 1 year of experience in the field or in a related area.

* Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering

* Familiarity with desktop software applications, MS Office is required.

* Must have excellent oral and written communication skills

Requisition Preferences:

* Previous experience performing structural analysis on NASA spaceflight hardware

* Experience using FEMAP or PATRAN and MSC/NASTRAN
