Be a part of the Artemis and Orion teams taking astronauts to the Moon and beyond. This is your chance to be at the center of a generational program that will land astronauts on the Moon for the first time on over 50 years. As an ATLO Electrical Test Engineer on the Orion program
, you will be responsible for the planning, preparation, and execution of electrical integration activities for the Orion spacecraft for Artemis II (first crewed flight), Artemis III (lunar landing), and future missions.
- Develop test plans, test procedures, and automated test scripts for system and subsystem-level electrical tests on the Orion spacecraft and test articles
- Perform test procedure and test script checkout in the Orion Test Labs in Denver and Houston
- Execute test procedures on current flight articles (Artemis II and Artemis III), the Environmental Test Article (ETA), and future vehicles under Orion production
- Collaborate with team members across the program including systems engineering, CPEs/RSEs, software, test labs, manufacturing, quality, and NASA
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or closely related degree
- Must have hands-on electrical or aerospace test experience
- Will willing to work extended hours, including 2nd/3rd shifts and weekends, in support of test activities
- Will willing to travel
Skills:
- Fundamental knowledge of test engineering, operations, and processes
- Experience writing test plans, test procedures, or technical documents
- Experience in subsystem/system electrical integration and powered testing
- Experience preparing for and executing spacecraft or system-level tests
- Knowledge of the Orion spacecraft or experience on a production spacecraft program
- Current or former Certified Test Conductor (CTC)
- Experience with spacecraft commanding and telemetry monitoring software
- Familiarity with electrical ground support equipment and test equipment
- Experience using Automation Framework tools
- Understanding of automated test scripts and configuration management
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with evolving requirements and dynamic schedules

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
