The Application Engineer provides technical sales support and product selection, pricing, and quotation support for our Turbo Gears used in power generation, oil & gas and emerging fields such as hydrogen and electrification. The role requires an understanding of mechanical power transmission engineering design and application for turbine, compressor and pump drive lines. The Engineer is part of the global Sales Support team and works alongside experts from the factory in Germany.

Responsibilities- Support the local Sales Organization in North America in processing customer projects.
- Analyze customers’ technical requirements (specifications) and conduct feasibility checks; translate project requirements into costing and customer offers.
- Make initial product selections that meet customer drive specifications using Voith selection and pricing tools.
- Provide technical support to outside sales staff during the offer phase, including technical clarification meetings.
- When a customer order is received, prepare handover documentation for the order execution team in the factory and conduct the handover.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of tools, processes and implement individual improvement initiatives.
