Results Statement
:
The Geologist will support the project manager, staff engineers, laboratory manager, or other staff as directed to assure client satisfaction following the applicable standards, specifications and company guidelines.

• Perform field logging for geotechnical site investigation in various geologic bedrock formations across the State of Texas.
• Train geotechnical field technicians on characterizing bedrock samples obtained in various geological formations.
• Access and analyze project site geological formations using geological maps prior to site investigations and advise the project team.
• Perform laboratory tests.
• Document the work performed as appropriate.
• Provide support to Project Manager, Staff Engineers and/or Laboratory Manager as needed.
• Perform duties in a safe, cheerful, efficient and workmanlike manner.
• Get cross trained on laboratory testing.

• Possess Bachelors in Geology or minimum of 2 years of experience in bedrock characterization in various geologic formations.
• Ability to lift concrete, soil, or asphalt samples as a routine part of the job.
• Ability to tolerate year-round outdoor work.
• Valid Texas Driver's License with no history of accidents or alcohol/drug related traffic offenses.
• Willingness to travel and work out of town about 95 percent of time in a month when needed and ability to work over the weekends if needed.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs required.
• Ability to acquire related certifications, review ASTM standards for lab testing and fieldwork.
