A Welding Engineer is required for a leading industrial fabrication and manufacturing company.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced welding professional to take ownership of welding engineering activities, supporting complex industrial projects and ensuring welding procedures, qualifications, and quality standards are maintained to the highest level.
The successful Welding Engineer will have a strong background in welding procedures, welding quality, and industrial fabrication, with the ability to manage welding qualifications, documentation, and customer requirements.
Experience with in pressure vessels, valves, pipeline, industrial fabrication, or similar regulated manufacturing environments is highly preferred.
This role would suit a candidate in one of the following positions:
Welding Engineer, Welding Quality Engineer, Welding Specialist, Welding Inspector, Welding Supervisor, Welding Engineer / Quality Engineer, Mechanical Engineer.
A hands-on welding background is highly desirable, with candidates who have progressed from production welding into technical, quality, or engineering roles particularly encouraged to apply.
Package- $100,000 - $130,000 base salary

- Manage and oversee welding engineering activities across the business
- Develop, review, and qualify welding procedures in line with customer requirements and industry standards
- Manage welding procedure specifications, procedure qualification records, and associated documentation
- Support welding procedure qualification testing and approval processes
- Ensure welding processes meet customer specifications and applicable codes
- Provide technical guidance and support to in-house welding teams
- Monitor welding quality and ensure procedures are followed correctly
- Review welding reports and maintain accurate quality documentation
- Work closely with production, engineering, quality teams, and customers to support project requirements
Provide technical oversight of welding activities
- Proven experience within welding engineering, welding quality, welding inspection, or a related technical role
- Strong understanding of welding processes, procedures, and qualification requirements
- Experience managing welding procedure qualifications and technical documentation
- Knowledge of welding codes, standards, and specifications
- Industrial fabrication experience within areas such as pressure vessels, valves, pipeline, refinery equipment, or similar environments
- Practical welding experience is highly preferred
