Engineer - Project Engineer-Design Lead

Design Lead within Lilly's Global Facilities Delivery, responsible for overseeing the design delivery of capital projects supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing, including bioprocess facilities.

• identify applicable standards and regulatory requirements
• coordinate all design phases
• develop design requirements
• manage design schedule
• select and collaborate with A/E firms
• monitor progress
• ensure design aligns with approved intent
• resolve design issues
• support value engineering and verification planning

• BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
• minimum 5 years of manufacturing or engineering experience supporting pharmaceutical or API networks
• authorized to work in the US
• project management skills
• understanding of capital project delivery in pharma

• experience in pharmaceutical process or project engineering
• strong facilitation and influencing skills
• knowledge of Lilly's technical resources
• ability to work remotely with occasional travel

• supporting pharma manufacturing facilities, potentially involving biologics or API production, with a focus on design for compliance, efficiency, and quality
• travel about 25%, domestic and international
• involvement in design, project management, and cross-functional collaboration
