I am working with a growing multidisciplinary engineering consultancy that is looking to appoint a Land/Site Development Project Manager to its Houston team.
The position will involve managing residential, commercial, industrial and mixed-use development projects while supporting clients throughout the Greater Houston region.
Salary: $120,000-$165,000 depending on experience
Job Specifications:- Manage land development projects from initial planning through construction
- Oversee project scope, budgets, schedules and technical deliverables
- Coordinate grading, drainage, paving, utility and stormwater design
- Lead and mentor engineers, designers and technical staff
- Maintain regular communication with clients and project stakeholders
- Coordinate with municipalities, reviewing authorities and external consultants
- Review engineering plans, reports, calculations and specifications
- Assist with proposals, client development and new project opportunities
- Support the continued growth of the company’s Houston operation
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Texas Professional Engineer license, or the ability to obtain one
- Previous land or site development engineering experience
- Experience managing civil engineering projects and project teams
- Working knowledge of grading, drainage, utilities and stormwater management
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred
- Strong communication, organization and client-management skills
- Knowledge of the Houston development market would be beneficial
