Senior Project Manager

An energy technology company is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary engineering activities supporting power solutions for data centers, utilities, microgrids and critical infrastructure.

This is a remote role with Site Travel;
Sites are located in the Northeast USA & Texas.

People able to work in those states will be heavily preferred.

The role combines technical project leadership, customer engagement and team development, with a focus on standardizing site designs, reducing installation costs and translating customer requirements into executable projects.

• Coordinate electrical, mechanical, civil and controls engineering activities to develop scalable site solutions.
• Drive standardized site layouts, equipment configurations and bills of materials to improve deployment speed, reduce risk and lower installation costs.
• Evaluate customer requirements and guide technical reviews, performance modeling and solution optimization.
• Ensure proposed solutions meet performance, reliability, environmental and compliance requirements.
• Partner with commercial, contracts and product teams to support strategic customer opportunities.
• Lead technical proposal development, RFP responses, customer presentations and solution reviews.
• Support feasibility studies, constructability assessments and installation cost optimization.
• Coordinate with EPCs, suppliers and engineering partners to improve project development and deployment approaches.
• Guide and mentor engineers, establish best practices and support team development.
• Improve engineering processes to deliver consistent, practical and customer-focused solutions.

• 8+ years of experience in power generation, distributed energy, microgrids, critical infrastructure or industrial energy systems.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing technical teams or programs.
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical and civil systems integration.
• Experience in customer-facing engineering, technical sales or project development.
• Demonstrated ability to lead product development or deployment activities.
• Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with fuel cells, battery energy storage, microgrids or distributed generation.
• Experience leading solutions engineering, applications engineering or sales engineering teams.
• Familiarity with EPC project development and execution.
