A well-known civil engineering consulting firm is seeking a Water Resources Project Engineer to support drainage, flood control, and public infrastructure projects in the Houston area.
This role will focus on hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) studies, drainage design, and project delivery while working with clients and supporting junior team members.
Key Responsibilities- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for drainage, flood control, and infrastructure projects.
- Prepare and review technical reports, drainage plans, and project deliverables.
- Assist with project scopes, proposals, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate with clients and maintain strong working relationships.
- Manage multiple assignments and support junior engineers as needed.
- Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- 4-10+ years of experience in water resources, drainage, H&H, or flood control.
- Experience with HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, ArcGIS, and related modeling tools.
- Experience with drainage PS&E development.
- Familiarity with TxDOT, Harris County Flood Control District, or City of Houston projects preferred.
- Experience with 1D/2D modeling and a master's degree are a plus.
