The Accompanist provides piano accompaniment for music students, supporting individual rehearsals and vocal performance classes. The role may also include other reasonable duties as assigned.

• Provide piano accompaniment for music students during individual rehearsals and vocal performance classes
• Perform other reasonable, related duties as assigned

• Skilled pianist
• Extensive knowledge of vocal repertoire
• Excellent sight‑reading ability
• Cheerful and positive demeanor

The work is sedentary. The employee may be required to walk, stand, bend, carry light items (papers, books, or small parts), or drive an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

• Equipment includes a PC workstation, calculator, phone, general office equipment, and a piano
• Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
• Work is performed in a climate‑controlled office and/or theater environment with minimal exposure to safety hazards

• Bachelor’s degree in Music or a related field and at least 3 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Experience in a higher education setting
• Previous experience working with students who have unique barriers and experience in assisting these students with their educational success

Hourly pay rate: $42.40
